A message from Mario Jose Guzman Oliveros, as posted on the Facebook group:

"This is the e-mail you've been waiting all week! Now that you have a smile on your face, remember what it feels like because there will be much more of that this Saturday. This weekend we'll have a virgin hare... I'm sure it will be fine!

Get together and Hash Cash: 4:30-5:00 (US$ 5.00 for expats, US$1-5 for Liberians)
Circle up and Departure: 5:00
Location: PA's Rib House. somewhere close to the airfield in Airfield in Lapkazee. Check the map our hares have prepared for us! (attached) It's also on google maps...
Hares: Sweaty on Top and Kim -no name!

This weekend is special because we will unveil the new Hash Flag. That symbol of unity and identity that will guide hashers in Monrovia FOREVER, or until the flag gets ruined or lost, which one you think will happen first?!

Join us for a run or a walk and drinks afterwards! We will also eat at PA's Rib House after we are done with all the debauchery. All are welcome to join."

Run #556 - Saturday November 12, 2016

Next Hash is SATURDAY November 12, 2016

A message from Mario Jose Guzman Oliveros, as posted on the Facebook group:

"The dry season is here! I’m fairly confident that I’m not jinxing anything, and if I am, I guess I’ll give myself a down down. Anyhow, to celebrate the looooooong awaited dryness our experienced hares will make sure we get to enjoy the weather.

Get together and Hash Cash: 4:30-5:00pm (US$ 5.00 for expats or US$
1.00-5.00 for Liberians)
Circle up and Departure: 5:00pm
Location: Nokia Building – the unofficial official Hash starting point, along with the Carter Center- It's next to Golden Beach, but the entrance is on Tubman, 20 meters or so before the entrance of Golden Beach, if you are coming from Mamba Point towards Sinkor, right after you pass the UN headquarters, it will be on your right hand side
Hares: Never Comes and Musu Sport.

There is parking in the compound, but very limited, so we recommend carpooling or taking a taxi, if possible. Tell the guards that you are with Mutsumi’s group.

I won’t be taking part in the Hash this weekend, but as long as the beer is flowing, I know I surely won’t be missed.

If you can’t find the place (really...?) Try calling Musu Spot at 0776762567."

Run #554 - Saturday October 29, 2016

A message from Mario Jose Guzman Oliveros, as posted on the Facebook group:

"This weekend we'll have our Halloween/Anniversary run and party. So get your costumes ready and give your liver a pep talk, there will be a lot of drinking involved.

Get together and Hash Cash: 4:30-5:00pm (US$ 5.00 for expats or US$
1.00-5.00 for Liberians)
Circle up and Departure: 5:00pm
Location: Outside Lila Brown, 19th street Sinkor, sea side.
Hares: Limpy Gonzalez and Mini Macheroni.

The plan is to dress up in costumes for the run/walk so that we can go around and scare Monrovians... or just shock them, whichever happens. After the Hash we'll head up to Lila Brown for a pastry treat to celebrate our anniversary and start partying the night away. We'll get happy-hour discounts on beer, drinks and pizza.

IF you can't find the place, or just want to hear the sound of my voice, give me a call at 0777723812"

Run #552 - Saturday October 15, 2016

Next Hash is SATURDAY October 15, 2016

A message from Mario Jose Guzman Oliveros, as posted on the Facebook group:

"I think we are all longing for the end of the rainy season... but Liberia says... NOT YET!! To lift our spirits, our hares this weekend will try to give us a true "greater Monrovia" experience, which translates into greener areas and less trash, "pepe" and "popo" on the street. Don't miss out!

Get together and Hash Cash: 4:30-5:00 (US$ 5.00 for expats, US$1-5 for Liberians)
Circle up and Departure: 5:00
Location: Crafty's house. Coming from town towards the ELWA junction, you'll see the LRA (stands for Liberia Revenue Authority, read a book!), take a left there onto A. B. Tolbert road and go straight until you get to a curve/turn. Right there, make a turn to the left towards the Lone Start tower. You'll be on a dirt road. It's the third house on the right.
Hares: Crafty (first Liberian, other than Roadrunner, to set a trail in months! Our hosts should get a down down for that) and Will -- No name.

Join us for a run or a walk and a couple of beers (or water).

Given that some of us are orientation-challenged once outside Sinkor or Mamba point, see the starting point on the map and if that doesn't help, there is very little I (or anyone) can do for you...

Regardless, give me a call if you are lost at 077 772 3812."

"Sorry for sending the information so late; I’m sure you all have been glued to your devices waiting to know where the next Hash is! This weekend we go back to Roadrunner’s natural habitat. It will be a great trail as I’m sure Spicy Barracuda, the invading species, will try to take over this territory. You don’t want to miss out on the outcome!

Get together and Hash Cash: 4:30-5:00pm (US$ 5.00 for expats or US$1.00-5.00 for Liberians). Circle up and Departure: 5:00pm Location: 20 meters past A’La Lagune on Oldest Congo Town road. There
you should see an empty lot to your right hand side. Check the map below. Hares: Roadrunner and Spicy Barracuda.

If you have questions about the location, call Roadrunner at 077696552

or Spicy Barracuda at 077676205. This time calling me will be rather
useless, but you can try anyways at 0777723812."

1.00-5.00 for Liberians)

"The rainy season is almost over. You can feel it!!! Just "smo smo" (writen in perfect Liberian) time left until it's dry, beautiful and HOT! This Saturday, just like the weather these days, expect the unexpected Our hares sport a combination of experience and inexperience, hashwise and otherwise, that creates a multitude of possibilites for this weekend's run.

Get together and Hash Cash: 4:30-5:00 (US$ 5.00 for expats, US$1-5 for Liberians)
Circle up and Departure: 5:00
Location: Nokia Compound. It's next to Golden Beach, but the entrance is on Tubman, 20m or so before the entrance of Golden Beach if you are coming from Mamba Point to Sinkor, on your right hand side.
Hares: Limpy Gonzalez (yes, the one and only me) and Kevin No-Name (yet!!).

Thanks to Musu Spot, we'll have the possibility to hang out by the pool at the Nokia compound, after the run or after the circle (or both), so bring your brightest swim suit and take a dip.

Lastly, I'll be collecting money if you want to order a Hash shirt. The price tag? USD 10.00... it's a bargain! I only place orders once I've received the money. Yes, I'm actually that cheap...

If you want directions to get to the starting point, call me at 077 772 3812. Who knows? maybe this time I'll notice my phone ringing!"
