Hi Everyone!

The Paramount Young Women Initiative (PAYOWI) informs and invites you to a 10k run/walk slated for Saturday, November 27, 2010 from 8:30am -1:00pm.

The event is expected to start from Tubman Boulevard by JFK Medical Center and continue at the Barclay Training Center (BTC) with an award ceremony. The 10k run/walk is the continuation of PAYOWI’s Scholarship fund drive geared at aiding females to enroll in High School and University. This is the second phase of the fund drive, the phase I was done through a car wash event that was held on April 3rd this year at the Fish Market football field.

PAYOWI is targeting $10,000.00 USD to continue the sponsorship of twenty (20) female students - 8 (eight) university students and 12 (twelve) high school students who are already enrolled in school for the first semester of academic year 2010/ 2011. We also hope to incorporate more young women as the demand for education is very high, evidenced by the vetting process for the first twenty (20) girls. There were over 100 applicants. This is also in support of government Poverty Reduction Strategy and the MDG3.

REGISTRATION DATE: November 11-25, 2010
REGISTRATION FEE: $10.00 USD individual or $40.00 USD for a team of 3 people. DONATIONS ARE WELCOMED!!!
THEME: "Let's Run to Educate a Girl!"

REGISTRATION FORMS CAN BE PICKED UP AT: UNMIL Radio, Royal Hotel, Truth FM, Power FM, Sharks, Bella Cassa, PAYOWI Office and ELBC.,
